Asus RT-AC56U 802.11ac router review The AC56U doesn't quite have the bargain basement price tag that could've changed the industry, but it is enough to do serious damage to premium 802.11n router
I bought this to use as a backup router while my top-of-the-line ASUS is being repaired after it bricked during a firmware upgrade. THAT router (RT-AC87R) has been phenomenal in performance in a 3700 sq ft home with 4 iPhones, 2 iPads, 1 Surface, 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 2 networked printers, 2 xbox 360's and then add in some random kids pals on the guest network. Asus RT-AC56U as it will fit my home needs (I don't really need external antennas and so usb3.0 won by the decision : )) As BS recommended that one and there are builds for this device I like to ask you if there are people around this forum to share experience with this device. That being said, the RT-AC56U is an amazing device in its own right packed with a bundle of useful features and tools from ASUS. The AiCloud is perfect for the on-the-go consumer and the Download Manager has some nice features for those that choose to keep their primary computer mobile or off a majority of the time.
